After his set Big Bob left the small stage and walked to the small bar tucked away in a corner of the cellar pub. Sue insisted that Billy take her in and introduce her.
When the Big man smiled warmly down at her, Sue felt herself grow dizzy. She wavered slightly, grabbing at the big man's arm. He took her and held her to her feet, but not before Sue felt his hand touch briefly her braless tits beneath the oversized shirt. "Hell, little girl, you almost fainted. I never had a woman fall at my feet before.”
Sue smiled weakly and said, "I don't feel too well. But I did so want to meet you.”
"Tell you what," he said. "I’m gonna cut a record tomorrow, so," turning to Billy, "you take this little girl home and let her get some rest, then tomorrow pick her up and bring her over to Priest. Hell, Billy why don't you sit in with me. I need some more good guitar in the background.”
"Right on," Billy replied. After saying goodbye to Mike, Billy took her outside to the cab Mike had called for them. "You got any clothes anywhere, Sue Belle?”
"All I own are those dirty things I was wearing," Sue apologized.
"She-it," Billy stammered. "Reckon we better get you something to wear.”
Later, after a shopping spree in an all-night clothing store, Billy and Sue were lying on the bed in the motel. Sue wore nothing, but Billy had kept his jockey shorts on.
Curiosity getting the best of her, Sue Belle asked, "Why do you always wear your shorts when you're in bed with me?”
Even in the dimness of the motel room Sue could see the flush that crept over Billy's body. He stammered, starting to say something, but instead he arose from the bed and poured himself a straight water glass of whiskey. After he downed it he turned back toward Sue. "I'll tell you something, little girl." He had lost his jovial mood and was now very serious. "Ever since I was little, I've been different. I, well, uh… I ain't much of a man.”
