"Are you hungry?"

"Yes. Cereal is fine."

Candy led Linda into the kitchen and gave her a bowl of cereal.

"Where is everybody?" Linda inquired. "It is Saturday, after all."

"Dad had to work overtime, Mom always goes grocery shopping on Saturdays, she'll be gone all morning, and I really don't know where Mike ran off to. He did seem bothered by something."

"So we're alone? Good. That will give us an entire morning to talk or whatever else we'll want to do."

"How do you like living in the big city?" Candy asked. "There must be a lot happening in a big place like Chicago."

"Oh yes, there is always something happening in Chicago. Always a chance to meet boys. Do you have a boyfriend, Candy?"

"Yes," Candy answered shyly. Her demure manner spoke volumes.

"I hope you're not a virgin."

"Uh no." Candy was blushing.

"That's good. You know, I worry about you sometimes. We all do actually."

"You worry about me? Why?"

"You have two of the most conservative, sexually inhibited parents on earth. I wouldn't want them to spoil you sexually."

"Well that's true," Candy said. She was clearly uncomfortable with this line of conversation, and she thought she saw a chance to change the subject. "They are quite religious, especially Mom. Dad isn't as religious as he used to be, but he still goes to church fairly often. At least they're not dragging Mike and me off to church with them like, they once did."

"I'm glad you and Mike have not turned into religious fanatics like your mother. If you had, it would really screw up your sex lives. And I do want to see that you have a good sex life."

Linda placed her hand on top of Candy's hand. The redhead seemed embarrassed as she moved her hand away. Candy stood up and walked over to the kitchen cabinets.

"What ever possessed you to behave this way?" Candy asked uncertainly. There was something about Linda that made her very uncomfortable, though she did not know what. Had Candy been more worldly, she would have realized that Linda was trying to seduce her.
