Rejection Is A Beautiful Thing

With any task you do, whether it berelated to women or sports or any type of game, there are a certainnumber of times you must fail until you succeed. Each act of failureputs you one step closer to success. During an important presentationat work in front of thirty scientists, I interchanged the wordslactose and lactate several times. This is akin to showing up at ameeting in the Oval Office without wearing pants. While I wasembarrassed afterwards, it taught me simple but essential rules ofhow to plan and construct a presentation for educated professionals. With each presentation, I got better and better, until I was thepreferred person to present data generated by our group. But withoutthose initial mistakes, I wouldn’t have been able to polish myskills. Not doing anything may prevent you from failure, but becauseyou make no attempt, it prevents you from success as well. Thisprinciple is especially important when it comes to women because youneed to rack up a boatload of rejections to understand how to bereally good with them. I have been rejected more than most guys Iknow, but I have also been with more women than most guys I know. Youtry more, you get more―there is no secret to it. The number ofattempts you have to make to reach a level of success goes down asyou gain experience and skill. For example when I first started, Ihad to approach around twenty girls to get a single number. Now Ineed to approach maybe three. I improved because I learned from allthose prior rejections. At the time those rejections stung and Ididn’t feel that great about myself, but now they are fodder forhumorous stories. The human brain does an amazing job downplayingfailure while glorifying success. The second reason I’m a fan ofrejection is because it maximizes your results. The most
